ClaudeFrequently asked questions
MoreWhen was the last public Claude reset?
The latest verified usage reset in our records was confirmed on 9/4, 20:08 UTC. Reset passes and credits are excluded from this date. Open the record for the source and eligibility details.
Event history → Read the originalWhat is the difference between a reset, a reset pass and credits?
A reset restores a usage allowance. A reset pass lets eligible users restore it by redeeming the pass. Credits provide a monetary or usage balance. Eligibility, expiry and redemption rules follow each announcement; a pass delivery does not mean it was redeemed.
When is the next AI usage reset?
We show a reset estimate only when an official announcement gives a scheduled time with a time zone. If none is confirmed, we show None. The historical average interval is not a schedule or a prediction.
How is the average reset interval calculated?
It uses up to five verified past resets and reset passes for the same product scope, with duplicate timestamps counted once. Credits, personal recurring resets and future schedules are excluded. Fewer than two distinct records means the interval is unknown.
Which time zone do reset dates use?
Your browser displays dates and times in its local time zone. Initial static HTML uses UTC. A reset announcement time is the time completion was confirmed, unless the source states the actual execution time separately.
Does the car show my remaining usage?
No. The car shows elapsed days since the latest verified public reset, reset pass or credit event in the history below it. This site does not connect personal AI accounts or measure remaining quota.
Does receiving a reset pass automatically reset my usage?
A pass grant and a completed usage reset are different events. A delivery announcement alone does not confirm redemption or an automatic reset. Check the original announcement and the product usage page for the applicable rules.
Does a Codex reset also reset every ChatGPT limit?
Do not assume so. A record applies to the product, plan and users named in its official announcement. We keep product scopes separate and leave unspecified eligibility unknown.
Why does the elapsed-day number not change at midnight?
Elapsed days count completed 24-hour periods from the recorded event time, rather than calendar date changes. For example, 23 hours after an announcement is still day 0. The browser refreshes the count once per minute.
Can credits be used for both subscriptions and API calls?
Only the announcement can establish which product a credit grant covers. Do not treat a product-specific credit as a universal balance. Check eligibility, amount, claim requirements and expiry in the event detail and original source.
